May 2020

Updated: Sep 16, 2020

The weather is warming, the days are sunny, the birds are chirping and overnight the trees and grass have become lush and green. Spring has finally arrived! Although it hasn't felt like a normal Spring, we are hoping it will soon enough and that we can enjoy the beautiful weather nonetheless in the meantime. In April we began a curbside pick-up program of our ice cream, packaged cones & toppings, and candies. We are so thankful for the support that our customers have given us through this means. It allowed us to bring back staff members, start ordering WI dairy product for our ice cream production, and has allowed us as a small business to feel a bit normal-- in that we are at least open! So we thank you for your orders and generosity as well as patience as we started that program. We know the kids loved having Pearl ice cream at home!

The main request we had was for scooped ice cream (cones and dishes) as well as malts and shakes. We know that is what we are known for, so we worked on a way to be able to do this while still offering our product in a safe manner. Our ice cream and candy store is considered non-essential (although we know some would disagree!), therefore we are only able to offer it curbside or to-go for the time being. That is why we are not allowing customers to enter our store until it is safe and legal to do so. This protects our customers, as well as our staff. We do want to get back to scooping though, so we have modified our front door entrance to be a walk-up window beginning Wednesday, May 6th. We are also extending our business hours to be WEDNESDAY- SUNDAY 11AM-7PM.

Our walk-up window will accept cash or credit card transactions and your items will be fresh scooped and delivered back to you. You can wait and make your purchase at our window upon your arrival, or still through our online ordering system. We are going to be offering our pints and half gallons, toppings and cones, and all of our candy selections online still, as well as our fresh scooped items for a pre-order. When you order, add what you would like to your cart and pay. When you arrive, you can pull up in your vehicle and we will come out to your car and ask for a name. Then we will deliver your order to you (prepackaged items) as well as fresh-scoop your other items upon your arrival. So don't worry if you are early or late, your cones from your order are being fresh-scooped regardless of your arrival time! This is the easiest method if you also plan to add candy as it allows us to prepare that prior to your arrival.

We are excited for this new offering for our customers, and are hoping for its success as we have a lot of great staff members who are eager to get back to scooping for you! So thank you for considering it. We know it is not the usual Pearl experience, but it is still the same great product and we are doing our best to make the process as smooth and safe as possible. We will all get through this together! ♥️

Also, don't forget that MOTHER'S DAY is Sunday, May 10th. They make the world a beautiful place and deserve to be treated on their special day. We are offering our candy gift box selections on our website and at our walk-up window as well as other treats and of course, homemade ice cream! Treat her to a cone and a walk through the park, or deliver it to her doorstep. Need it shipped? No problem! We have fully implemented our shipping program at The Pearl for our chocolates and candies. We offer $10.95 flat rate shipping, or free with a $100 order. Chocolates are heat-sensitive though, so we are only shipping these Mon-Thurs morning to avoid weekend layovers. Check out the "SHOP" page on our website to order.
